Income Tax Return Preparation. Decker, CPAs offers comprehensive income tax return preparation for both federal and state returns for individuals, estates, and trusts. Individuals interested in having our accountants prepare their returns should download the engagement letter below. Upon receipt of your engagement letter we will e-mail you this year's Tax Organizer. Tax preparation typically ranges from $900 to $1,500 for the federal return and $300 for each state return. We required a retainer of $850 to be paid at the beginning of the engagement. TurboTax Review. For individuals who are looking for an alternative to full-service tax preparation services, we are pleased to offer our TurboTax review service. Unlike traditional services where you pay to have someone else prepare your tax return for you, with our TurboTax review service, you prepare the return yourself using Intuit's popular TurboTax software. Then, after you have completed the return, save it and e-mail it to us at Tax@DeckerUSA.com, and call us to schedule an appointment with one of our tax advisors. We will review your tax return to make sure everything is in order, and look for new tax-saving strategies for the following year. TurboTax reviews typically cost $225 for a 30 minute review. If you return, because of its complexity, requires additional time, the fee is $50 for each additional block of 15 minutes. Tax Planning. Tax planning is offered year-round. We required a $500 retainer Depending on the complexity of your situation, there might be an additional charge. Our hourly fee for this service is $250.
